Volunteer!
Earn up to 4 service hours per family by volunteering to help out at Barnafest!
The volunteer signups are divided into two hour increments, so to obtain your 4 hours sign up per family for two shifts. And remember, any family member can earn the hours for you, so if grandparents, aunts or uncles etc., can volunteer with you, then you can sign up for two slots at the same time and have the 4 hours done in one 2 hour shift. Also, if you have a mature child who can help out at the booths, you can sign your child up to work a shift with you and again you will get 4 hours in 2 hour time slot! I say if your child can help with a booth, what a great learning experience for them, both to learn some responsibility, charity and to know what you as a parent does so they can attend SBS! If you sign up a child, please make a note in the comments section so we know the age of the child and we will also make sure you are assigned to the same booth.
We want this to be our biggest festival yet but in order for us to make this a success it needs to be a whole Parish effort, and without volunteers there would be no festival! So please sign up to help with one of our booths. When you sign up please select a time slot, and either for a set-up or tear-down; for which we need drivers, helpers and people who can do some of the heavier lifting; booths; which include games, t-shirt sales, silent auction monitoring, and ticket sales; and last but not least, food booths. Please note that you are mainly signing up to work a particular time slot, as we may need to move people about to cover different areas due to where the most help is needed. If you sign up with someone else, and want to work with that person, please make a note under the comments section and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
