Oct. is respect life month!
It’s never too early to educate children about the sanctity of human life—to help them understand that each person, born and preborn, is valuable. Through age-appropriate activities and discussions, teach your children—from toddler to teen—that every life matters. Robert Kalowes (562) 426-3781 ; bobkalowes@hotmail.com
SACRISTANSThe role of a sacristan in the life of the parish is active and involves a good amount of creativity, organizational skills and diplomacy. Sacristans are responsible for preparing the Church for the Sacrifice of the Mass. They must work with all in ministry to ensure that there are altar servers, extraordinary ministers, lectors and ushers, and they must be able to fill in for any of these ministries. They must be alert and vigilant for any problems that could occur during the course of the Mass. They must keep God’s house in order. It is a challenging, but rewarding ministry to know that all has gone well during their watch. Sahlee Balajadia: (562) 233-5907 ; sahlee_balajadia@yahoo.com
